In an interview with NBC News, Trump said that Pelosi "is responsible for Jan. 6" because she turned down his request for troops. However, there is no evidence to support this claim.

Pelosi has said that she did not have the authority to approve or deny requests for National Guard troops, and that the decision was ultimately up to the Department of Defense. The Department of Defense has not confirmed that Trump requested 10,000 National Guard troops or that Pelosi rejected any such request.

Trump's claim is likely an attempt to deflect blame for the January 6 attack, which he incited by repeatedly spreading false claims about the 2020 election being stolen from him.

The January 6 Committee, which is investigating the attack, has found that Trump and his allies knew that the election was not stolen, but they continued to spread lies about it in order to overturn the results.

The Committee has also found that Trump was warned about the potential for violence on January 6, but he did nothing to stop it. In fact, he encouraged his supporters to march to the Capitol and "fight like hell" to overturn the election.

Trump's claim that Pelosi rejected a request for 10,000 National Guard troops is just another lie in a long line of lies that he has told about January 6. The truth is that Trump is the one who is responsible for the attack, and he should be held accountable for his actions.
