In an interview with NBC News, Trump said that Pelosi "is responsible for Jan. 6" because she turned down his request for troops. However, there is no evidence to support this claim.

The Department of Defense has not confirmed that Trump requested 10,000 National Guard troops or that Pelosi rejected any such request.
