Former President Donald Trump, former Vice President Mike Pence, and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis have all issued statements condemning the Hamas attacks and expressing their solidarity with Israel. Trump has also accused Biden of being weak on terrorism and of funding the Hamas attacks through his decision to release $6 billion in blocked Iranian funds.
The other Republican presidential candidates who have expressed support for Israel include former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, Senator Tim Scott of South Carolina, and former Governor Chris Christie of New Jersey.
The Biden administration has condemned the Hamas attacks and has pledged its support for Israel's right to defend itself. However, the administration has also urged Israel to avoid civilian casualties.
The debate over the Biden administration's handling of the Israel-Hamas conflict is likely to continue.
